Summary
USDA's first department-wide AI strategy, issued in November 2024 for fiscal years 2025-2026 under the previous administration and framed by Executive Order 14110 (revoked in January 2025). It set five goals: AI governance and leadership, workforce readiness, AI infrastructure and tools, data readiness and access, and ethical and responsible use. USDA's October 2025 compliance plan for OMB M-25-21 refers to a new FY26-27 USDA AI Strategy, so this document is no longer current.
